Some where I think I posted a picture of the Kohler generator that I used for parts, on my rebuild? Anyhow, that thing had a small 12v fuel pump on it. If you want to go electric let me know, I'll try and dig it out of the scrap pile.
We have a trailer load of scrap ready to go to the recycler, and it is in there. If you want it, I'll text my son and make sure he does not haul it today.
I'll hold it for you. You cover the cost of shipping from 48507 and it's yours. The thing is small, it may fit in one of those USPS prepaid boxes?
Lower right corner of this pic;
I also have a standard bore cylinder, I did not use. It is not scored, but had a little rust pitting in it, it may be fine, but I did not use it. It's not on the scrap pile.
You spoke of power steering, and wishing the 682 was a 782?
I am adding power steering to my 782, by cannibalizing a 2072;

Had I not investing so much money in the KT17 rebuild, before I foung the 2072, I would be rebuilding the MAG20hp that the 2072 came with.
My point is I paid $350.00 for the 2072, this will get me (or my 782) power steering, front hydros, and dual rear brakes. And a rebuildable 20hp motor. I have sold $120.00 worth of parts off of it (and theres lots left to sell), that helps offset that initial investment. In your case a similiar donor would also get you the hydro lift (782 style).
This type of "upgrade" is not all that difficult, as most of the stuff is just swaping parts around, very little fabrication needs to be done.
If you do not want that big of a project, I will end up with some 782 left overs and could help you upgrade your 682, to a 782. (the lift valve and hoses from my 782 will be surplus).
If you want we can talk about those in pm's.
