The job is done and the tractor is running and cutting grass like a champ. Here are some more pictures of the job. The engine runs kind of funny. It will run rough and surge like it has a bad governor right after starting. This happens for about 15 seconds, then it smooths out and runs strong. I think it smooths our when the oxygen sensor kicks in. I always had trouble with the old magnum surging after a long grass cutting session, when I turned the PTO off. The Command EFI does not do this. I like the sound of the command better then the magnum. I ended up getting a used muffler from Patton Acres. Cub had ordered new ones from their supplier. When they came it they turned out to be wrong in some way. Cub did not give me details. Cub has not given me any idea how long it will take to get a new one. I will probably buy the new one anyway just to have around. These old parts go up 10% a year. I want to make sure I have one so I can reach my goal of having this for 10 more years at least.
I would be interested in selling the old magnum as a whole to someone. I do not want to ship it however. I do travel around the upper Midwest, so a delivery is an option. Otherwise I will part it out.
Thanks to everyone who helped.
