Bob, the cost of the powder is cheap $2 for standard blend and up to $7 for a custom mix (that's per pound and the more you buy the cheaper it gets). With powder coating it's all about the labor if your taking it into a shop. Are you doing this at home or taking it to a shop?
I got lucky my local powder coater has the correct colors for the originals I'm doing. The white was a stanard color they carry. With powder coat you can blend in how much of a shine you want it to have. Be ready to tear everything apart for powder coating. All seals, gaskets, o-rings and your transmission. It's a 100% tear down no way to do it with out doing it.
