For all you want to do to turn the pump up will add power because its getting more fuel to conbust. However in the video that amount of smoke doesn't do anything besides burn up fuel. With it smoking like that you can be putting so much fuel in the cylinder that the engine is basically having to work harder to run, and you can also starve your fuel pump out of diesel, because the injection pump is sucking so much fuel. Thats my two cents. I am going to school for diesel tech so I don't know everything but I do know that "JUST" adding more and more fuel won't add tons of HP, because the rest of the engine has to be turned up if you understand what I'm saying.
