I have had a oil leak on the hydro input shaft and the new seal came today. I pulled the covers and was starting to take it apart when I noticed the engine end of the shaft was not running centered. got all the bolts out of the flex disks and drove the roll pins out of the rear couplers and slid them forward. this allows the drive shaft to come out as a unit. here are some pics of what i found.
1 is the flex disk from the engine end. bolt hole at top was tore out.
2 is the coupling on the hydro the bearing goes in, I think I can save it with a new bearing.
3 is the engine flange, bearing or whats left of it. and the end of drive shaft.
4 is the hydro end before I unbolted it all. this is the seal that is leaking on the front of the hydro.
if anyone has a drive shaft that will fit a 1811 send me a pm.
now just to order parts and wait a few more days, not a good time of year to be down. I will post more pics of changing the seal on the hydro as I do it.
