Lawn rollers...educate me getting ready for sod
I have a dirt yard now. I had 128 yards of dirt added to my property to prepare for sod. Do I need to roll before I sod to compact the soil? Most of the work was done with a bobcat and back dragged with the bucket. Some of the soil was pretty rocky and I'm working getting most the big chunks out. I've seen both steel and poly rollers. Would the rocks chew up and dent a ploy roller, or the steel ones for that matter. I don't know if the steel ones gauge are that thick. After I lay the sod down I need to roll it to make good contact correct. Besides the steel rusting which kinda roller is better.
