Hey Clint, don't get discouraged, we'll help you get it figured out. Different areas of the country have so many different meanings and not everyone knows the proper terms on how to discribe a problem or issue. Plus throw in the internet and computers and that can get folks stimied. Typing a description down and telling someone out loud are two totally different things.
When you say "when it does crank, it runs great." Do you mean the engine is running, or just the starter is spinning fast enough it should start if you had spark?
Make sure you have a good spark plug and clean all of the grounds and connections.
