I think i read somewhere quite some time back that the newer gear drive Cubs had a faster second gear than the older tractors ?? Not sure where i read that , but i do remember something was different on the gear ratios to make them faster. I have had the puller guys ask about having any CI rearends for sale and they said there was a difference.
I have a couple of friend that pulls Cubs and if no one answers your question on here i can call them and ask. They use aftermarket gears , but they may know.
