Weight for added traction. If you live in an area where it might freeze, then you need something that won't freeze in your tire. So windshield washer fluid can be bought that is good for -20 degrees F or so. My rear tires will hold 7 gal. of fluid. If you are talking about 7 or 8 pounds per gallon, you would be adding 49-56 pounds per wheel! RimGuard (beet juice) weighs over 10 pounds per gal!!! Hope this helps.
