I just found this thread so I had to contribute!
I've been whitetail hunting now for 30+ years. In that time the best rack I've been able to put on the wall is an 8 point. My son was able to hunt his first youth hunt last year. Well, the little rascal had two 8 pointers walk out in after about an hour in the shanty.
Then regular season comes around and all I can muster this year is a 5 point. So what does my son do... he goes out with me on the weekend following the opener and gets another 8 pointer! Sheesh!!
