Breather questions
Im working on my 1650. I took the breather off to clean the exit as it was caked with sludge. I saw on kirks custom engines they have a remote breather setup. It looks like that may be handy. There was alot of junk on my engine. The inside of the breather has this hair stuff in there that is falling all apart. Is there something that I can replace that hair with that is modern or is the hair the best. Is the kirks cover just a flat piece of aluminum or is there anything milled into the back. Is there any clearance problems. How thick is the cover?

1979 1650, #1 tiller with one extension, 90 degree box mounted, 3 point. 1961 4 digit bringing back to life. I have the mower and 3 pint for it. The 1650 is the fastest mower in the neighborhood.
