When I purchased my 147 in April the 48" deck on it needed some help with some rust holes. There is a 4 inch hole on the rear of the deck in front of the left rear tire, the right rear wheel bracket is rusted out so bad it almost fell off,
and there is a small hole on the very top near where the IH decal goes.
I knew I had to have it fixed. I thought I could nurse it for a while.
Tomorrow I'm taking it to my dad's to have the holes welded, so I thought I'd mow the weeds down one more time (no rain here, probably like everywhere else in the midwest). Halfway through the mow of my back yard I see a giant (6 inch hole) and NO wheel. Happily I did not mow it over.
Hoping it can be fixed and I don't have to look for a new one. Everything else on the deck seems to be in great shape, and I'm happy with the way it mows (before the wheel/bracket took a dump and it's now scalping.)
