I hear ya DX3, I mowed today too as the yard was looking like Arizona Anny's catus patch. Been dry here as well, 7-10 inches low of rainfall so far. I have a 1990 MTD White lt-14 that refuses to die that I mow with.
Glad you got seat time in, and repairs made. Those pins are expensive from the Cub Cadet dealer. I was soaked for 5 bucks each there.
