I was going to try, it was spaced out 3/4" from the block. I don't know if it would have been out to far after mounting the engine. It had a bigger pulley witch ran a 1/2" belt but a parts disc. said could also run a 5/8" belt. I saw a guy on another forum try one and had an alightment problem with belts through the idler pulleys. Once i took it off and put the btiggs one on i never tried it. The steam engine did not sell, reserve was to high, had to have a steam licence to bid witch was his idea not to be sued if someone blew it up. My best friend and old neighbor was killed on the one that blew up in Medina and killed 5 and hurt many others, long sad story. Mike
