So far I've replaced the Ross Steering box, as the housing was exploded in several pieces. I replaced the 2 turn worm gear with a 3 turn from a JD, plus added the upper and lower upgrade kits. I also replaced all 4 tie rod ends, and tightened the drag link arm as I saw done elsewhere on this site. Steering is tight now!
I also just replaced the battery and carb. I found a NOS carb for $95. At that price in made sense over a rebuild seeing as how the throttle valve had as much play as the steering. I also replaced the throttle cable.
A new wiring loom is waiting for me to install but the old one is functioning for now. That will have to wait as the hydro tranny seems to slip and whines very loudly. That's my next focus.
Here are a couple of pics, including one of the 2 other attachments that came with the cub. I know the lower one is a disc harrow, but I'm not sure what the one at the top of the frame is called. Perhaps someone can fill me in.
