Default Help with freshening the carb on my 147

I picked up a Kohler carb kit for my K321 on my 147 at the local Cub Cadet dealer. The motor needed to have the choke pulled ever so slightly to run smooth, so I figured the carb needed to be gone through.

So I glanced at the kit, then pull the carb off and start taking it apart.

My lack of attention has got me into a jam. I thought the brass thing in the kit was a main jet... So I was trying to remove the old jet from the carb using a flat blade screwdriver. Well, that didn't work, the screwdriver tip ended up slipping out of the slot and gouged the brass...

Upon closer inspection, I saw that the kit contained a new seat, not a new main jet! Arrgh!

Are these jets non-removable? I'm hoping I didn't just ruin this carb. I am tempted to try putting it back together with this jet but I don't know if it'll run right now.

I saw this carb has a "30" stamped into the bore, I'm guessing it's for 30mm bore.

Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!
