Steve, did you loosen the set screw on the locking collar and tap the collar to unlock the bearing before you pulled the bearing off with the gear puller? If you pulled the bearing off without unlocking the collar I wouldn't reuse that collar. You need to loosen that set screw even if you reuse the collar, to be able to lock the new bearing on. If you did unlock the collar before using the puller, and the collar looks like it's in good shape, then you could reuse it.
