Today I got the engine out, and examined my electrical issue. The old harness has been cut in many places, and the one he bought on Ebay is a home-made, cobbed up, wiry mess!
So, I worked on getting the bad out...And have decided to make a temporary "redneck wiring harness". I'm going to run electric from the battery to a push button, then to the starter. That will take care of my starting situation. Then, I'm going to run another wire from the battery, to a switch, to the coil. That will take care of my spark.
I will probably run it like this for awhile. When I paint it..I can do it the proper way.
