My 1541 keeps throwing the deck belt off, all bearings, pulleys etc seem to be in good shape. I ordered a new tension/idler spring and that did make it last longer, still throwing the belt. I happen to have two 1541's and used the deck on the first coupled to a 1604 and cut grass with zero problems. I swapped the deck, still the deck belt come off, so I changed the mule drive, and still the deck belt come off !!

So I have eliminated the deck as the cause, and I also used a OEM belt, I'm scratching my head at this point. Could it be the PTO ? it seems to be working fine, but it came with a new in the box PTO, aftermarket, but still... maybe the bearings are shot and it's transferring vibrations to the deck drive ? Also looking at where the mule drive bolts (special bolt) to the hanger on parts tree is different than the way mine is, could the cause a problem ? I'm racking my brain, if anyone has had the problem or knows the solution please give me some ideas.
