Yes, you did luck out. I had a heck of a time with one of mine. Glad you got yours off. Truthfully, I have 3 of these PTOs and none of them have the anti-rattle springs. I was more talking about the springs on the inside to keep the pressure off of the "clutch" when it is disengaged.
