Good to know about the anti-rattle springs. Yes, I see the springs you are talking about now (they look pretty good but don't have any pressure on them at the moment...) It appears the clutch disc may have seized itself to the pulley and/or the clutch plate. Not surprising given it has been sitting out in the weather for a while.
