Sports in general are a turn-off to me. Been that way for over 20 years or so? Back when I was an avid fan & spent way to many hours watching the boob tube. One year on a bet I kept track of every hour that was wasted watching football. Don't remember the exact time, but it was nuts. Far to many hours of my life to waste on overpaid players, coaches. Football went from being a great American pastime, to money, money & more money. IMO, got ridiculous!
Same for baseball-$-, basketball-$-, hockey-$-. After reevaluating my priorities, I stopped pi$$ ing my time away & money.
So I haven't been to a football game in 35 years, watch on occasion, & the only game I sorta watch is the Super Bowl. For over 10 years about 30/40 people get together, bring a bunch of food, great company & a great way for a get-together. About 10 football pools are going, nothing over $ 1.00, $.50 cent ones most popular. A $. 25 cents (maximum) poker game plays for the duration of the game We also have a get together every 2nd. Week in June for a yearly pig rost. Everyone just has a great time.
So some fanatical sports people would classify me as?........................
Being un- American.
