Blade mounting
I am swapping my plow from my 1250 hydro lift to the 1200 I got running today. The PO of the 1250 modified the sub frame so it fit outside the frame in the narrow slot between the frame and foot pads. It wont fit this way on the 1200. From the manual it appears the sub frame slots hook onto the footrest rod between the frame. I cut the braces off that the PO welded on to spread the frame and used a ratchet strap to pull it together enough to fit between the frame, The problem is , no matter where I mount the rear of the frame , it interferes with the lift rod and the deck hanger brackets. I must be missing something. If I mount it between the hangers it will slide side to side depending on the force on the blade. Then I need to kick the sub frame over to get the lift arm to drop. I think I have been at it to long . The good news is I got the 1200 all back together and it popped off with a couple cranks and purrs like a kitten. I have only gaped the points and did not use a timing light yet. Set the Carb per the rough settings in the book and it seems about perfect. I do have way to much voltage at the battery when running though.
