Default Trailers

Hi Luke

Do not have that brochure scanned, but IH manufactured their own trailers. The IH Highway Trailer brochure indicates they did buy axles from an axle manufacturer but otherwise all manufacturing was all by the IH Industrial Division till near the end when they subcontracted out the assembly of some of the trailers and stopped manufacture of others. This was particularly true with the high volume consumer Model 1200s (successor to the Model 5). AFAIK, the Model 2000 (successor to the Model 7), and mostly used by dealers for deliveries, was not outsourced.
