in regard to things going for too much, there's a guy in MA trying to sell a 125 in identical condition to mine minus the unmasked rattle can treatment (lived outside for a while, surface rust, faded dash, wear & tear etc.) for 1200, which is about 5 times what I paid for mine. I guess some people out there just hear "cub cadet" and "cha ching" as the same. too bad, it makes it hard for younger people to get started.
