If you have trouble seeing and you are on the road perhaps you should consider just removing them - at least for now. Also, my back window is plexiglass.
I've been thinking about removing my doors and back window - leaving the front glass and roof because my doors don't like to stay shut. My thinking is that should keep the majority of the blowing snow off me and I could leave it on all year. I'm concerned with the heat of summer though. If it's on all year it would be worth customizing (fan, cup holder, etc.) .
