Got two spindles apart today. Three days of PB Blaster and a little light pounding with the hammer and they finally broke loose.
The bearings are good, no binding or internal rust, but a lot of pitting on the outside.
Spindle housings are pitted pretty bad also, but I managed to get both the bearing and housings cleaned up with the wire wheel and drill press.
(no picture of the bearing cleaned up)
