they get costly if you need parts for them though. but...they run like a watch. i was proven wrong about my opinion on them when i get my Lincoln lincwelder that has an Onan CCKA twin on it (basically the same as what would be in a 982, 317, 318 or sears tractor) and it runs like a champ with a ton of power. id go the JD318 route. they are some beefy beastly tractors with more hydraulic options than any cub would have without modification.
