Just my opinion since I had all the types mentioned....If the price is anywhere the same for the cub or 318, go the 318...I love cubs but something said about power steering and the hydro connections up front not to mention the attachments that seem to be more plentiful out there. You can pick up rear PTOs, 3pt lifts, sweepers...ect...

Now, you are gonna pay a bit more for them since they think JD stands for Just Dollars.. I have a 318 that I put a Cub Cadet Kohler Command in...So I have the best of both worlds and the wife loves to mow with it....

Just watch out for a leaky steering column as they are known to go out with age and it is NOT an easy fix....The Onan if taken good care of should be good to 1500hrs. Seems to let go a rods near that time frame if they have been overheated or abused.

Is it a B or G series Onan....Meaning points or Electronic ignition...?
