pvolner , I'm not sure what purple bloom is it maybe called creeping charlie here in Iowa butt if the clover is white clover then I can help with that . Spring is not the best time to spray for weeds in your lawn . You want to spray for lawn weeds in the fall about the time the leaves are starting to turn brown . Spraying in the spring wont hurt anything , you will just have better luck in the fall . I use Mec Amine-D on clover creeping charlie and any broad leaf yard weeds . I mix it 4oz's to the gallon of water in a 26 gallon sprayer. If you plan on using a hand pump srayer I would not mix it that strong. You can get this at a ag supply store like co-op or Farm Servies . I add Liberate to get things going . Liberate is a penetrant deposition aid and drift control agent I mix it 1/2oz to the gallon . I've had good success with this recipe . As for crab grass I think Gordman makes a crabgrass killer I've never used it yet so I can't tell you how it works . If you can get worked into a system where you dethatch , over seed and ferttilize in the spring and summer then spray for weeds in the fall your grass will thicken up and crowd out the week weeds . Just try a small area in your yard first to see if things are working the way you wanted so you don't kill things you did'nt want killed . Hope this helps Bruce S.
