My dads 4x4 jd 585 has the tab style tires on it. They work great even in 2wd he has a very hilly yard and a steep banked pond. Handles all of that in 2wd no prob and pushes snow with no problem in 4wd and no chains. I've been considering the same tires myself but I'll probably end up with ags
