If the deck is magnesium, then that increases the value because you can leave those things sit out in the rain, etc. and they don't rust!!! My parents had the old lawn boys with magnesium decks and they were always lighter to move around and lasted for over 25+ years---you just don't find that these days from any of the push mowers. In fact, recently my mom bought a new lawn boy and everyone of them comes with a steel deck. It moves like a tank....to bad, they had a great thing going and discontinued it. Although, if a rock hits a magnesium deck hard enough, it will put a good sized hole through it. I've never had that problem, but I've seen the result of it before. Best of luck!!
