I did the PS conversion on my 1541. At the same time I converted the front axle assembly to the version on the 1863/4. The change is pretty easy. All the needed parts may on the 1862 (assuming it is complete). You may have to get different lines that come out of the charge pump. I don't have the 1863 in my parts book so I don't know if the pump is the same. The 1862 and 1864 do have the same pump in the book I have. Should not be too expensive if do need them.

You will most likely have to remove the dash tower. I would do it no matter what just to make the needed room to do everything right. Check the ball ends on the PS cylinder, they do wear out.

$250 for the PS alone is an OK deal. That is usually what they get on eBay for that.
