You can't go wrong if the parts tractor is $250. You can sell the PS parts for that much. I did some looking at the 1863 vs the 1864 and it looks like the conversion is more complicated then I thought. The two models use different pumps that have different plumbing for the hydro lines. The conversion can be done. But it would require fabricating new hydro connections from the pump to the PS unit. Personally I would do it if I was in your position. PS is a great feature in my book, especially for snow throwing. Having the 1862 pump would make this a lot easier of course.
Maybe some of the other members can help. I do not know the 1863 that well.
