That's impressive. I probably only went a few inches down with my 10" and I was slippin and spinnin the whole way.

Actually the red comes from iron in the soil, so lots of the red dirt is great garden soil.
BUT, some of it is still unbaked bricks!!

You guys are right. It felt about like plowing a big brick.
Disked the big bricks into little bricks today. I've got to figure out something to add to keep the clay from packing so bad. Just running a tractor over it packs it harder then I can dig with my fingers. I have some options like horse manure, straw and maybe creek sand. What's everyones favorite organic material to loosen up a garden patch?
