Haven't seen mention of it in this thread - does the PTO switch work properly? And yes, slide the motor forward. Keep track of the engine mount spacers, once its free, you can hobble it up onto the front corner of the frame without assistance. You could also get it onto a 5 gallon bucket turned upside-down which makes a nice little engine stand for cleaning and degreasing...
