Crankshaft end play.
I'm getting ready to rebuild my newly machined k301. I realize that there are crank end play specs but how do you measure the end play since the crank bearings are tigh on the crank and also tight on the block (pto side) and in the bearing plate? I'm not sure if I'm being clear with my question. I guess my question is: Can the crank be moved freely in the axial dimension once the bearing plate is tightened?
