Default Kevin from TN

I live in Manchester, TN. I have 2 Cub Cadet 1330 lawn tractors. The story of how I ended up with two is kind of interesting. The first (Cub #1) was originally my Dad's. I used it for several years but at the end of Summer in 2004 the right rear axle broke. I checked all the Cub Cadet dealers in the area and was told that I could not buy only the axle & would have to buy the entire transmission assembly which was over $400.00 at the time! I searched around all Winter and at the beginning of Summer 2005, I finally found a second Cub Cadet 1330 for sale at "Smith Equipment" in Shelbyville, TN! The Second (Cub #2) was in excellent condition except for it had the same problem as mine, but it's Left axle was broke! I paid $400.00 for the ENTIRE tractor. I used Cub #2 initially as a parts supply to fix Cub #1. I never gave up on Cub #2 though. In 2007, I was still searching for axles to fix Cub #2 when I finally found a business on eBay (RF Houtz & Son) who had a rebuilt Cub Cadet 1330 transmission listed! I contacted them and asked where I could get a set of axles for my Cub #2. They said, "We have them in stock!" Cub #2 was saved! I ordered the axles and a few other parts I had cannibalized for Cub #1 and rebuilt Cub #2! I now had TWO complete Cub Cadet 1330's!
