On the other side of the coin though the cvt technology has proven itself pretty reliable through out the years at a fraction of the cost of a hydro. My son in law has a cub lawn tractor and he is the type that "it had better start, mow the damn lawn and not be seen until next week when needed" kind of guy and that tractor works great for him and the millions like him. Guy's like us would turn those poor little machines into garbage fodder within 24 hrs. that's why they make very expensive sub compacts. So the moral of the story is to keep those old cubbies running boyz !
