Direction of rotation really shouldn't be any problem... Finding a gear box heavy enough, may be. RPM is not a problem. The rear PTO's RPM was very close to 540, and that is what any "big bush hog" runs off of. I have had the same idea for a while, but don't yet have a gear drive with a PTO..... Trying to buy a gear drive tractor right now, and if I get it I plan to build some rear PTO driven attachments. I'd be glad to brainstorm!!
Questions I have:
1. Do you want it mounted? Or pull behind?
2. Does your machine have 3pt or sleeve hitch?
3. What model of tractor is it?
