I want to thank everyone for being so helpful and informative. However, I do have a few more questions though!

What is the proper way of measuring the width of the pulley or verifying what size it is? The two pulleys measure different at the widest point, but neither are 1/2 or 5/8. I don't want to buy another pulley if I already have the correct one. If I do have the 1/2" thrower pulley, would there be issues if I left it on? Not sure how much use the thrower got from the PO owners, but it has worked for them and worked so far for me (except I don't know the cause of the broken belt).

What about shimming the bottom of the gearbox to create the same angle of the PTO pulley? I would be content leaving it as is, however, if this was the cause of the broken belt, I would like to take care of it. At $20 a belt, it can get expensive.

Thanks again
