I saw that Sam got 2 head gaskets for a Mag engine for around $20 at NAPA and I figured that was a good deal so I ordered two from my local NAPA. I remember the guy saying they were just under $10 each plus shipping that shouldn't be more than a few bucks. He said he would call when they came in but he never did but I worked near them today and stopped in. I told the lady at the counter I was there to pick up my parts and they hand me 1 gasket that looked like it was damaged. I told her to just order me another and call when it comes in. When I got out to the truck I looked at my receipt and noticed they charged me $20 for one gasket.
At this point I'm pretty ticked off and walk back in the store and asked the guy why was it so much, I thought I paid for two. He couldn't even look it up on the computer why it was that much and the lady said the shipping was like $9.00. I told them to cancel the other order and I won't buy anything else from them. Now when I go to that store online the price for part # 5204120s is $20 but if I type in another location it comes up a little over $10. What is up with this sorry place? Is that how NAPA works? I'm thinking about making a complaint.
