Spudder, welcome to OCC. The 2086 has the Kawasaki FD620D motor that is awesome but it has a plastic cam gear that will break in that range of hours if it has not been changed. This will not destoy the engine but it will require a complete tear down. You may want to ask the owner if it has been changed and if it hasn't, use that as a bargaining tool. The 2082 will have a Kohler Magnum that is a good engine also but your getting into that range of hours that it may need worked on also if it wasn't maintained. Without pictures and price it would be hard to say which one is the better buy. I myself would rather have a water cooled motor than an air cooled. Good luck!
