LOL, tell me there is pictures or video of "cowboy Cad"
The burlap seems to work, limas are breaking the surface. I've lost corn and bean seeds to birds. I mulch my garden with grass clippings to keep weeds down and moisture in, and last time my seeds didn't come up I did some investigating. I dug around and found the clippings pushed into the ground at intervals where I had put seed in...perfect beak shape tufts of grass in the dirt.
I have hung cd's on fishing line and the spinning reflection keeps them away but takes a while to set up and tear down. Its much easier to lay down the burlap with a few stakes.
The rubber snakes would be fun, see how long it takes my wife to find them. haha
