1914 and 986 are the same thing made at the same time (1985 and 1986).

Independent brakes
Electric pto to the back
Category 0 3 point
Onan 19.9 hp (if they were rated at 20 hp, they needed ROPS)


The difference in paint and numbers was determined by whether they were ordered by an IH dealership or a Cub dealership. The garden tractors used the same operators manual. I have an original manual. It lists the 98x numbers and the 19xx numbers on the cover.

My 1914 has approx. 750 original hours. I found it sitting in he all grass where it had been parked for approximately 4 years. Three of the safety switches had failed. The previous owner could not get it started. Still had the chrome baby moon hubcaps on it.
