I believe my 1810 has an incorrect deck mounted on it (a 46" model 331)with adjustable wheels. The wheels are fighting the intended (?) floating arrangement, digging up the sod on turns?

All cadet decks "float". I just wire brushed it. The gauge wheels are adjustable. There are different holes you can bolt them in to. The deck is a 50". If your gauge wheels are tearing up the yard, take the weight off of them. They really aren't intended to carry the full load of the deck. Raise the wheels and put some load on the sub-frame.
