My 100 would boil the gas in the gas tank. I would check the timing by checking the points gap, and I would check for air flow through the head and jug. No air flow, then you probably have trash packed around the jug, maybe from critters or from years of grass collecting between the fins. It wouldn't hurt to take the tins off and give the fins a good cleaning. Sometimes critters will build a nest in the blower housing.
