Agree with these chaps, I'm also leaning towards a worn trunion.
Have a look at this one, the corners are almost worn through when they should be square. A MiG welder will fix this.
As far as rolling off the hill, as soon as the pressure in the pump lets off, the auto valves allow the machine to roll so it can be moved. Always set your parking brake.
