The algae is from the bio-diesel, not the low sulfur. I agree with you on everything else. I thought after the low sulfur we'd see more pump failures too..... but we didn't. I replaced FAR more pumps because of algae locking them up than anything. STAY AWAY FROM SOY-DIESEL!!! I'm not much of an additive guy, just for the record. Don't see the need. My testimonial is my 1990 Dodge Cummins with 500K miles...... and only on injection pump #2. Fist one made 225K, second one went the rest, and still going!
