I'm going to try to duplicate the decal/paint details of the 1066/1466, yes, up the hood.
I'm just finishing up the fuel system, hope to have it running in a few days. I think I seated the welch plugs too deep in the walbro carb, so I need to replace them (they are blocking fuel flow I think). First experience with one of these carbs. Live and learn.
Then need to move on to the the grill and headlight details. Then paint the stripes and apply the decals. I have some lettering already, but not sure they are the right size yet. Will probably have to have them made up.
My Firestone tri-ribs showed up today, so I need to mount them and put them on.
